Bloomberg declares that Lacrosse Players might be major steroid users in colleges

It is interesting how people pay a lot of attention to steroid use in wrestling, baseball and American football and forget the lacrosse players, who are some of the biggest users of steroids in sports today. According to Bloomberg, lacrosse players are using steroids more than American football players and baseball players. No one would have ever though that this are the facts; thanks to the fact that lacrosse is perhaps not as popular as American football and not so many people are aware of its players. In a survey that was conducted by Bloomberg, lacrosse players are leading in the use of steroids and other drugs like marijuana, alcohol, spit tobacco and other hard drugs like cocaine and heroin. These facts were gotten after a survey that was conducted once after four years in which players are asked to fill forms anonymously and send them to a company that keeps the information. The company then compares the data with what has been preserved by them over the years, hence the conclusions that lacrosse players are not only the highest steroid users, but are also the highest hard-drug users. The fact that steroids are easier to get your hands on in this day and age makes it very easy for players who want to get and edge to make use of them. College players are the most notorious for using steroids and hard drugs among lacrosse players.  About half of all players of lacrosse made use of steroids and this is almost double the number of players in other sports who use steroids. Wrestling; the sport in which steroid use is mostly expected to be seen has fewer users of steroids compared to lacrosse. 10% of the players of this game make use of cocaine. While it is surprising that lacrosse players may be leading in the numbers of students who make use of steroids and hard drugs, it is expected in games where there is a lot of competition and speed and strength are required in large amounts to make an impact.

Men lead in the use of hard drugs and steroids among lacrosse players, since the survey that was done last time; there has been an increase in the use of alcohol, cigarettes, marijuana and spit tobacco amongst male lacrosse players. The biggest increase has been in the use of alcohol among male lacrosse players. The use of amphetamines has dropped since the last time such a survey was done and so has the use of steroids although they still lead in all the sports. Some of the side effects that athletes reported include hangovers, and poor performance in class, nausea and lack of attendance of class. Some of them reported driving under the influence of alcohol and a good percentage reported roid rage, which is caused by steroid use.
